I have everything I need. I have everything I want. If I don’t, I can have it. It feels strange to say because I never lived in a place where that was normal. I didn’t just end up here. I worked really, really hard for it. When people say I can’t I have always believed they are making a choice. If I can’t, it’s usually because I don’t want to. Blaming other people for your problems, your choices as an adult, your failed aspirations. When people accept their shortcomings as if they’re permanent, as if failure is simply a fact of life. It's all bullshit. It seems easier to curse the world or settle for less than to take responsibility. But you know what’s actually easier? Having everything. Peace that doesn’t bend, through every season. Joy that doesn’t run out, no matter what is lost. A freedom no one can take away, no matter how the world shifts. Waiting to be realized.
